Artist Statement
While painting, I think about the creative destruction in mother nature, knowing that eventually, it will bring new growth. I draw inspiration from the world around me, rhythmic changes in immediate surroundings, close encounters with the vagaries of human emotion. I challenge my viewer to learn the meditative state of detachment from life challenges
